The Ministry of Economy of Spain is leading a project to boost Spanish in Artificial Intelligence and to improve diversity, and inclusion, and reduce discrimination of Artificial Intelligence algorithms. This project is called the PERTE of the New Economy of Language. In this scope, I present the main reasons we want to use AI to reduce discrimination in algorithmic decision-making and improve diversity in social dynamics, the potential risk of using AI algorithms without a proper social design, and the challenges and next research steps.
